Sometimes you hold someone special in your life.....
Just sometimes......
Joelena, aka Jazz was that "someone special".
In April 2007 we had to let go of that special something & we wish she was here forever. A beautiful tall chestnut with taffy coloured mane, Thoroughbred mare, Jazz stood 16.1hh & was 18 when she was PTS.
Fond memories of a excellent riding horse, she, prior to coming to me was a brood mare (TB's) & then went to Kambalda as a riding horse before going back home. The day we picked her up in Bullsbrook, she was ridden out to the float, bareback & a halter with 1 lead. This mare was as reliable as they come but had a attitude that is rather common with redheaded TB's, lol. Sept 2005 we eventually put Jazz in foal to the lovely Pinto Part Arab stallion, Cherokee Lodge Malakye. This foal we looked forward to, Jazz's height, combined with Malakye's movement was something to be awaited. Only 2mths later after being covered, Jazz horrifically injured her off/hind, ripping her leg to the cannon bone. It was a injury that the vet has worked with before. Jazz's leg had healed wonderfully after some set-backs, she foaled down in Aug 2006, a strapping colt.
Sadly due to complications, she was laid to rest on April 27th 2007.
Good-bye my girl, if only you were still here.

Owned by the Inlaws since 1996, this beautiful Part Arabian mare is no longer with us. She has left behind her amazing daughter, Tails, born out the farm.
