**2008**
AUGUST
We are on the lookout for a smaller stallion, Arabian Pony, ARP, Welsh, Pt Welsh etc. Jet is on the market as is Tarah.
Pinto All Breed Halter Show, we took Jet & were very happy with our Champion Arabian Derivative Champion Sash against a mature lovely buckskin stallion. Well done to his owners, was a great day.
Sprite has been brought back into work as she will be competing at our local Ag Show ridden by a young friend, Kira. We feel at this stage, Deagan isnt ready to ride in a show. Sprite is now clipped & ridden every arvo by Kira (& then Deagan), we are now riding out off the lead. What a wonderful pony.
Katie has finally foaled! 9 days over but the wait was worth it, for Jet's 1st foal. We were very keen to have a solid colt foal & we got our wish! Flame is a perfect little Sabino with a stunning face & those typical Arab-y ears.
We are using a Foaling Cam this year for our pregnant mares. It is a wonderful idea as we can check mares without disturbing them, plus with this cold weather, its nicer indoors, lol. We do go out when we feel its needed but we are loving the cam, just amazing to watch the mares, when they know "human" isn't around.
Ravenslee Rayne has been sold to a very good friend & the breeder of our stunning filly Suga. Skye of Petite Pastures Stud, is now the lucky owner of Rayne.
We attended Second Chance Horse Rescue Quiz Night lastnight (1st Aug). What a great night full of laughs, all for a wonderful cause.
JULY
We are very lucky to add to our lovely band of fillies/mares, a very well bred & colourful filly. Marbelyn Park Oh So Fine is a gorgeous little pinto filly. Her sire Raven Lodge Chance's Boy is Eastern States bred, came to WA & has gone back east, leaving behind this beautiful filly. We look forward to getting her back out showing, she's been shown once by her breeder & has soo much potential. Biggest thanks to her breeder, Jocelyn.
Foaling season is getting closer! Jet's first 2 foals are very soon (August), 1 is our own & the other is out of cremello Part Arabian mare, owned by Marbelyn Park Stud.
Sophie has been sold & is going back to her breeder, Sue Lane. What makes this amazing is, Sue bred Sophie 18yrs ago. This mare was sent East to be bred to a stallion & came back to WA in foal. We wish Sue the best with Sophie.
SPPHAWA Youngstock Gala. We headed down Saturday night with thanks to Toni from Brickton Miniature Pony Stud, Jet stayed at a lovely Agistment Centre. Jet went on to win Supreme Pinto out of 3 lovely exhibits in the Supreme line-up & aren't we pleased! Yay! He had many admirers all day.
JUNE
Cougar & Angel have left for their new home.
Katanning Miniature & Shetland Show. We took 2 Mini's down, Foundation Pony, Redlan Stud Starr (Tank/Starr) & Small Horse, Petite Pastures Peaches N Cream (Suga). Again Suga gave us more great results & has ended on a great note! Suga is now on spell till the Perth Royal Show, we believe its vital youngsters (as Suga is only 9mths old) have a break. She certainly deserves it! 4 shows for x2 Grand Champions, x1 Supreme Of Supreme Junior, x2 Supremes, x4 Champions & x1 Reserve Champion!!

Darling Range Breed Show. Another good day with Suga, she has done us proud from the 3 shows she's attended.
Last night, 31st May, we had to say goodbye to the beautiful mare... Bluevale Sondra. Today (1st June) we went back out the farm to see how the other 3 mares were going. Sondra sadly broke her hock, it was not repairable & as hard as it was, she was a stunning, well bred mare that was carrying my "Jet" foal.... she was PTS. A terrible way to end the mth & start another. RIP Sondra, you live on, in your wonderful mature foal, Tails.

Sondra, 1991 to 2008.
MAY
Mini Mafia, today, 25th May we had a wonderful yet unplanned on my behalf, a BBQ! Biggest thanks to Skye, Tony, Leisa & hubby, Toni, Heidi, Leanne, Naomi, Sheona, Krystal & Matt for making it a great day. Full of laughs!
Went & viewed an outside stallion we are using this coming season on 1 of our lovely mares, he's Purebred Arabian.
Another ride on Frits, these Friesians are incredible horses.
Thanks to Bobby Joel for our new mares, Redlan Stud Starr, a minimal Overo mare & Ellenbrook Foxy Lady, a black Tobiano, both proven broodmares.
Every horse person's dream... to ride a Friesian stallion! I had my first ride on such a horse today & I'm in awe. An amazingly gentle, yet powerful breed to ride, very graceful & phenomenal, thanks kindly to his wonderful owner.

Angel & Rayne are home, with doubts that Angel isn't in foal.
Bibs & Booties Show, i handled a friends Miniature Horse filly for Supreme Miniature Horse & Best Foal Of Show, well done Naomi with her.
APRIL
NMR Feature Show, Eastern States judges Adam King & Jenny Leaver. Zam placed 3rd in his Colt class with 7 other colts, that was the only class we took him in, Cougar had 2 classes & placed in both. Our best results are with Petite Pastures Peaches N Cream. At only 8mths of age, Suga had a extremely successful day, with Grand Champion Futurity, Supreme Jnr Foundation Horse, Best Overall WA Bred & then the HUGE award, Grand Champion 2008 NMR Exhibit..... yay!! Not bad for a 8mth weanling, her 1st show & against Imported, more mature & more show seasoned stock.
Zam @ 4mths of age, attended his 1st show, All Stars. Under a Eastern States judge, he took off Champion Miniature Horse Colt/Stallion & then Supreme Miniature Horse! WOW! He also went Champion Open Show Pony Colt/Stallion.
MARCH
Nemo's first show & again, wonderful results.
Cougar attended his first show with wonderful results.
We have re-scanned Sass for some reassurance & yes, all fine, a healthy active foal inside still!!
FEBUARY
We have sold our beautiful Miniature Horse stallion, Yarrimba Park Jamaica (sire of Zam) to new owners, Sarah Boston of Blueline Miniature Stud & Bobby Joel of Arabella Miniature Stud. Thankyou both for giving this guy another great home & to Sue Foggardy of Minielf Miniature Stud/Shangrala Arabians for a easy going partnership in Jai.
Courts. With the biggest congrats to some great friends, on their win in court today. Just goes to show the levels that some buyers go to, i am glad the truth has came out & all has been a wonderful outcome. Well done for sticking by your guns.
JANUARY
Zam born, a stunning fine black Miniature Horse colt.
Sass was scanned & is definitely pregnant, yay!!
